The faucet runs for one minute after activation. The sensor then recognizes the person and keeps running as long as they remain in front of the faucet. The faucet automatically shuts off after 3 minutes. If the person in front of the faucet leaves, it will shut off after 20 seconds. While showering, the faucet can be turned off manually by holding a hand or finger against the sensor.
