Sphinx Membrane S8H894000 replacement when filling slowly
In this example, we explain how to replace the diaphragm of a Sphinx float valve S1/S2. If the float valve fills slowly, the rubber is probably torn, preventing the float valve from building up pressure.
Step 1
This is what the starting situation looks like

Step 2
For the S1/S2 model, simply turn the union nut counterclockwise

Step 3
Then you simply pull out the tap cover including the diaphragm

Step 4
Remove the old diaphragm from the faucet cover. Now take the new diaphragm. On the side that will go onto the faucet cover, there's a pin on this diaphragm that fits into the recess in the faucet cover.

Step 5
In addition, there should be a small white pin sticking out of the rubber

Step 6
Once the new diaphragm is on the tap cover, replace it and tighten the union nut clockwise again.

Step 7
Now that everything is back in place and the water is back on, you'll see the float valve fill the tank at a normal rate again, problem solved!
