Install Damixa valve rubbers 13056

There seemed to be some confusion about how to install valve seals, for example, from sets 13056 or 23486. Specifically, which side should be up or down, and why it "doesn't fit."

Step 1

First, we need to remove the old one. We do this with a special key that came with it.

Step 2

In this case, the older type is the one that's used. A loose spring with a loose rubber (pictured right). The new one (pictured left) looks different. It has a plexiglass sleeve with an O-ring around it. Inside this sleeve is the rubber with the spring.

Step 3

Next, use the included sandpaper stick to sand the shaft where the old one came out. This is the exact size. If the sandpaper doesn't fit in the hole, don't remove any of the wrapper. If it doesn't fit, you should already have a valve stem with a plexiglass sleeve, the new type. Then stop sanding and simply insert the contents of the new sleeve.

Step 4

Now that the shaft has been sanded, place the new valve seal on the other tube (which is also included). You can now lubricate the O-ring around the plexiglass sleeve with the grease provided.

Step 5

Once the O-ring has been greased, you can use the pipe to press in the new valve rubber, with the plexiglass side facing down!

Step 6

Once pressed in, it should look like this. Now you can place the other one in the same way.
