Repair Damixa G-Type kitchen/sink tap before 1-9-2010

In this example we repair a G-type kitchen faucet delivered before September 1, 2010 (the washbasin faucet has the same procedure).

Step 1

Remove the Allen screw underneath the flat part.

Step 2

Pull the spout out at the top

Step 3

Loosen the Phillips screws that secure the levers of the handles to the internals. There are numbers on either the top or bottom of each lever. The hot side has a 1 on top and the cold side has a 2. This is the correct position, also for later installation.

Step 4

Then loosen the rest of the screws with Allen keys number 2.5 and 3mm

Step 5

Now the tap can be taken apart, leaving the base plate in place.

Step 6

Now you can push the old internals downwards and remove the levers. This is easiest done with a Phillips screwdriver that is not too thick.

Step 7

Remove the old internals from the tap

Step 8

Now the new internals can be installed. Please note that NOT the extra ring that comes with it around it. The photo on the left is the new one, the photo on the right is the old one. The left one has an extra spot for a ring, which is Only done with the version after 2010. So you leave out the ring or remove it if it is around it.

Step 9

Please note that you must first close the inner workings, as shown in the photo:

Step 10

Make sure that the flat sides fit exactly into the recess at the top:

Step 11

This creates space at the bottom for the transition plates and the internals can no longer rotate.

Step 12

Now the levers can be put back and the body back on the base plate, this should be seamless, otherwise the internals probably don't fit properly in the recess or the transition piece doesn't fit properly in the holes.

Step 13

Now all the screws can be tightened again and the handles can be put back in place.

Step 14

Finally, put the gray ring back in and the spout and tap are ready again!
