Internals 13011 Damixa Merkur replaced before 2009
In this example, we explain how to replace the internals of a leaking Damixa Merkur faucet from 2009. We'll use the 13011.00 with the 23876.
Step 1
This is the initial situation, we are experiencing a dripping tap and want to replace the internal workings.

Step 2
Before we begin, of course, turn off the water supply. Then, the handle needs to be removed. We can remove it by removing the color indicator from the handle.

Step 3
There's an Allen screw underneath the color indicator. You can loosen this screw with a 3mm Allen wrench.

Step 4
Now that the handle is off, we need to unscrew the cap underneath counterclockwise. In some cases, it's very tight; use a soft rubber kitchen glove or something similar. This will give you a better grip. Avoid using pipe wrenches on this, as the cap will be damaged and is not replaceable.

Step 5
Now that we've removed the cover, the retaining nut is visible. You can loosen it counterclockwise with a suitable wrench (size 41). If it won't come loose, give it a jolt by tapping the wrench counterclockwise. In this example, we're using the 23876 impact wrench (see step 7).

Step 6
The impact wrench allows you to easily loosen the nut; it fits perfectly and therefore has maximum grip on the nut.

Step 7
Then you can pull out the insides.

Step 8
Now that everything's out, we're ready to install the new internals. We'll grease them with the grease provided. Apply a small amount to the black ring surrounding the internals.

Step 9
Then, thoroughly grease the red rings on the bottom, but not excessively. When installing the internals, pay close attention to the position of the rubber seals and the two tabs.

Step 10
Now that the new internals are in place, you can put all the parts back in reverse order.

Step 11
Now that everything is back in place, the job is done and your faucet will no longer leak!
